Protect Kids like Tate
About Tate
On Aug 6, 2021, Kayla and Ross White suffered an unimaginable loss of their precious son, Tate Buening. His life was tragically taken in a murder-suicide at the hands of his own father, while waiting on an emergency hearing that was not prioritized by the courts in time to protect Tate. Tate was an outgoing and free spirit that enjoyed life and loved all people and animals. Tate had a huge heart and those who knew him will always remember him for the BEST hugs. He never met a stranger, young or old. He loved to entertain others by telling jokes, playing pranks, goofing off, and dancing. He was always dancing. The loss of this shining light leaves a hole in the hearts of all that knew him.
Tate's Legacy Foundation was created to raise awareness of domestic violence and risk factors that lead to physical abuse and fatality. To fight for laws and policy change that prioritizes child safety above all else.
Help by learning more about the effects of abuse and domestic violence on children in the family system. Advocate for better laws to protect those who can't protect themselves- our children.
Tate had a huge heart and love for everyone. As well as advocate for children, we plan to make donations to causes in Tate's name to keep his Legacy alive.
